About Gracenote Coffee
Founded in 2012 by Patrick Barter, a Maine native who studied digital music and percussion. Starting with a roaster fashioned from a gas grill and selling at farmers' markets, Barter brought his coffee to Greater Boston where word rapidly spread. The Boston shop opened in October 2015 as a collaboration with Alessandro Bellino in the Leather District, becoming a small standing-room-only coffee temple. Coffee is roasted in Berlin, Massachusetts.
Sourcing & Philosophy
Direct sourcing relationships with farms in Ethiopia and Brazil, with a focus on naturally processed specialty coffees.
