About PT's Coffee Roasting Co.
Founded in 1993 in Topeka, Kansas by Fred Polzin (fast food chain manager) and Jeff Taylor (photojournalist) after Taylor failed to find a local outlet brewing amazing coffee. PT's (P for Polzin, T for Taylor) started roasting in 1997 and was named Roaster of the Year by Roast Magazine in 2009. One of the first roasters to establish a Direct Trade program.
Sourcing & Philosophy
Nearly 80% of coffee acquired through Direct Trade. Long-term partnerships with producers across Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Known for single-lot, farm-specific offerings.
