Founded by Xavier Alexander (former Intelligentsia head roaster) and Darko Arandjelovic (former owner of Caffe Streets), Metric takes its name from the unit of measurement found on a vintage German Probat roaster they restored. Their cafe and roastery sit on West Fulton Street in Chicago's Kinzie Corridor.
